Nine Stones

It was Sunday morning and we woke to clear blue skies, a rarity in Ireland. That quickly got us out the door. The clouds came in quick as you will see from the pics but it was still a lovely day. We decided to head up Mount Leinster to Nine stones, we will save the walk to the very top of Mt. Leinster when we are without children to far for their little legs to walk.Nine stones are said to commemorate nine shepherds lost on Mt. Leinster during a winter storm. On the drive up we pulled over to watch some paragliders, something I will definitely do sometime. Then we met Ed and Padraic at Nine Stones for a gorgeous walk. The views are amazing. The countrysides are vibrant and the fields resemble a quilt.

stop off to watch paragliders

Nine Stones- well I got seven in the picture

pretty special to see the horses at the top of the mountain, some farmers have mountain rights
