Altamont Gardens

We are so lucky to have these beautiful gardens in our backyard. From my understanding the estate was left to the country on grounds that they be left free for the people to enjoy. The family that once lived here traveled and would bring beautiful flowers from all over so many flowers you would not normally see here in Ireland. Recently a coffee/tea cafe opened on the grounds by a local gal. Its a treasure to have so near and on a beautiful day it sure is special. We have only done the path around the pond, the 100 steps next....stay tuned!
