Declan was not happy about going to the dentist. The car ride there he was saying he was scared and didn't want to go. I told him it's not scary and we can go for ice cream after. And then he asked if the dentist would have a lollipop for him. And I said mostly like not.
We got there and Declan was totally fine. He hopped right up into the dentist chair, loved seeing the tools and had no bother opening his mouth. The Dentist counted all 20 of his teeth- all there! Then he cleaned them, which he doesn't always do on the first visit but Declan was so brave, and then he flossed his teeth. He sent Declan home with a new tooth brush and toothpaste, which now Declan uses over his electric transformers toothbrush, and loves his sparkly toothpaste. Declan then got to pick something from the treasure box, which I did not look in but he came back with a pencil and asked me what it was is the car.

Declan looks so comfy while sitting on the dentist's chair. I'm so glad he changed his mind about the trip. I guess your dentist was very gentle with him. I bet you're proud of him for not having cavities at all. I hope he keeps it up. Kudos to you for keeping his teeth in check. All the best! :)

Looks like Declan surprised you with the courage he had while you were at the dentist! I can only imagine how tensed you were, plus the efforts you exerted to convince him to visit the dentist. Anyway, I do hope he continues to have a sound oral health, and that you guide him into a habit of maintaining it for years to come. Cheers!
