My first boat ride

Saturday was Fort Lauderdale's annual St. Patrick's Day parade that takes place downtown. It was a beautiful day so Declan and I decided to take our boat since we knew the traffic and parking would be horrendous. But then we remembered our boat was still at the dealership, luckily there is a water taxi stop right at our building.
We called our friend Crystal to join us. At 12:30 the three of us departed down the intracoastal, admiring the gorgeous mansions to the New River, and finally hopping off at stop #9 Las Olas Blvd where the parade was on it's way. We were just in time for the McSorley's float!
We met a few other friends along the way. We then lounged in the park, front and center of the stage and rocked out to an Irish band. Crystal and I had some Irish fare- fish and chips and the corn beef and cabbage. Declan had his delicious apple. We had a festive day! At 5:00 we hopped back on the water taxi  back home.
