1st trip to the Zoo

I took Declan and Rory to the Palm Beach Zoo a couple weeks back. We met Declan's friends Ethan, Alexander W. and Alexander G. there. The boys had a blast running around, the animals definitely came second. But who can hardly blame them, the animals aren't very exciting just sitting around in cages. It was a beautiful day and one we thought would be too cool for water play so we didn't bring swim suits. The boys couldn't resist, by the end of the day they stripped down to their underwear and had the time of their lives on the splash pad!

Happy 9 months

Rory is 9 months!. We had his well visit at the doctor and he's a monster, 22 lbs 10 oz (90th percentile for weight) and is 31 inches long, which is off the charts. He's crawling everywhere and pulling himself to standing. He's been doing a lot of babbling lately and it really sounds like he is talking to us- loving it! He is as sweet as can be.

Bath Time

Bath time just got very exciting for both Declan and Rory. I"m not sure who loves it more. They are now bathing together and having the time of their life. Declan couldn't wait to get in the tub tonight; he was ready at 3pm.

Buddies for Life

This past Wednesday was so refreshing. The boys are at the stage where they are having fun together and entertaining one another- yay! Since Rory is crawling everywhere now and able to to pull himself to standing, Declan has been more interactive with him-which is so amazing! Hopefully fighting over toys isn't too near.

Rory has just begun to pull himself to standing over the past few days and hasn't quite figured out how to bend the knees to get down, so he either falls or lets out a cry. I saw him getting the knee bend a little today so probably in a few more days he will be a pro.

Merry Christmas 2013

It's CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Eve was spent with good friends Matt, Callie, Coleman and Michaela, Merideth, Charlie and Findley. We spent the afternoon at the Bosch house, the toddlers romped around the back yard, babies played on the floor and the adults had, well, some adult drinks. It was a fun day had by all and  by the end of the night the kids were raving with glow sticks in Coleman's room.
Christmas morning came early and as I let Donal sleep in of course and I kept Declan from pawing the presents open. Donal woke and the presents were ripped open so fast I'm pretty sure I missed it as you will see no video or pictures of the action.

Donal spent the next hour putting together the Ballapalooza and realized Christmas was not like he remembered. We enjoyed the toys with the kids, and  then enjoyed the kids going down for a nap and relaxed with some baileys. We went for a walk in the evening and the boys were down early because of the past few days' excitement. Declan's last statement of the night was "Santa is coming tomorrow with more presents"- eekkkkk, I hope he's not too disappointed on St. Stephan's Day.
