The boys wanted to be skeletons this year. We were in Florida and the weather was dodgy and kept us from the beach so we had three days of Halloween activities. Lauderdale by the Sea trick or treating at the shops, Trunk or Treat and then Halloween night spent in Rio Vista with Lisa and Nick and Callie and Matt.

I wanted to be sure to get back home to see my mom within 6 months of our move over. So we came for a 3 week visit at the end of October. Declan has a week long fall holiday right around Halloween. I believe the break was originally designated so the kids could be off school to help harvest the potatoes. We stayed most the time at Crystal and Dave's Beachside Village Resort, a few days with Callie and a few days with my brother Rick. We really enjoyed some warm weather, the sand in our toes and splashing in the pool. It was wonderful to see our family and all of our friends again.

The long flight was worth it because we got to do this for 17 days! Our friends Crystal and Dave graciously hosted us at their little piece of paradise in Lauderdale by the Sea- The Beachside Village Resort. We were a stones throw from the ocean and the pool out the front door. We had so many friends come to play over to play with us. It was so great to be in shorts, tank tops, suits and flip flops- the entire time!!
