We told Declan if he stopped biting his nails we would take him to Legoland. And what do you know! Our trip soon turned into a whole week of fun. Donal's friend from Ireland graciously let us have his timeshare for a week so we packed quite a few things in and had friends join us too. January is hands down the best month to go, cool weather and all the kids are back in school so not much waiting in lines. We played at Legoland, went tubing at a natural springs park, colored at Crayola Experience, ate dinner at Medival Times and played in the Magic Kingdom (Disney)!

Dinner and Show at Medieval Times. Knights, horses, jousting and no silverware. Super fun dinner show, I was impressed. Declan got a bit scared because of all the fighting, but once we were able to explain that it was for fun and the Knights were all friends and they were putting on a show like he likes to do with his friends and sword fight with his brother he felt better and wanted to get pictures with all the knights at the end of the show. I was so glad we left on a positive note.

Walt Disney World- The Magic Kingdom! Way to much fun. We did Buzz Lightyear, the people mover, speedway, train around the park, Little Mermaid, Mickey's Philharmagic 4D show, Small World, Tom Sawyer's Island, Bear Jamboree, Haunted House, Electric Parade, Swiss Family Tree House, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Declan isn't too into the fast rides or the ones that take you up high or in the dark so we actually did a few things that I hadn't done before. The Mickey Philharmagic 4D show which was good fun to see the kids trying to touch the images-Declan loved it and wanted to see it again. And another first for me was Tom Sawyer's Island. It was fun to wander around and go through caves and tunnels and across bridges; so glad we took the boat over. Declan doesn't like rides that are very dark so we passed on Winnie the Pooh because he remembers a "stormy night" part and also Peter Pan because it was also very dark yet he wanted to go into the Haunted Mansion- I guess he didn't realize it was gonna be a bit dark. But he and Rory both did well with it.
