This year Declan is future baby golf pro. It's tough to get him to wear the hat and carry the clubs but you still get the idea. We met Coleman and Ethan at the pumpkin patch, they had fun messing around with pumpkins and playing in the hay.

A couple of weeks ago, Declan started watching Sesame Street. The first day he was hooked on Elmo (Crazy!). I'm not sure if it's Elmo's voice, his red fur or that his name is fun to say that gets kids hooked, but the following morning Declan woke up saying "Elmo, Elmo!"
Sesame Street Live was playing at Parker Playhouse, right down the street, so we got tickets this past weekend. Declan had a blast, it was so much fun watching him take it all in. The first half of the show he sat on Daddy's lap stoned-faced, like he wasn't sure what to make of it, I think because the characters are so big in person- I think he was taken back. But during intermission he got up and was dancing around and that was it! He didn't sit for the rest of the show he was totally into it, pointing, saying, "Elmo, Big Bird," he was all smiles.

Donal and Declan at Parker Playhouse-Sesame Street Live
On Saturday, Declan and his friend Ethan went to the Halloween Horse Show at the Pompano Beach Sand and Spurs Equestrian Park. The had pony rides, fair games, a horse show, face painting and bbq. The boys enjoyed romping around the park. Declan of course saw a tractor and had to get on. He threw a fit when I took him off, but we weren't suppose to be on it (and they came over and kicked us off-oops)!
On Friday we had a fun filled day! Earlier in the day Declan and his best buddy Coleman went for a trolley ride. Declan has seen the trolley around town and gets so excited so I thought we would go for a ride. We jumped on at the west end of Las Olas and rode to the beach. We hopped off at a playground area and had some fun. Then we rode the trolley back and had a picnic in one of the parks on Las Olas.
Later that day, Declan met Coleman and Ethan at an open play at 'Move and Grove.' It was great we were able to relax inside with AC and the boys played with lots of new toys. They were entertained for two hours! We will definitely take advantage again soon.
Declan turned 18 months last week. Last Tuesday, we had Coleman and Ethan over for the celebration. I made banana nut bread cupcakes for the boys and they had fun playing together.
Today we went to Declan's 18 month old check up. He weighed in at 26 pounds and a whopping 34 inches long (98 percentile). He checked out great!
